YAY MY ART EXAM IS OVER! 8D AND I FINISHED IT ALL ON TIME!

...Sure I was the last person who was still working in the end, but still! ^__~

All three pieces.

I did this one on the first day, don't actually like it much D:

Did this yesterday. Really pleased with it and it's soooo much better than the monoprint I posted a few entries ago!

Done today. Hoorah! 8D Those stripes took forever though. XD

The headmistress of our school came in half way through the day with some old guy... a chancellor or something... I dunno, chancellor sounds too important XD But anyways, she was showing him around all of our work, and when he got to me, he said:

"Oh, it reminds me of that artist in Berlin who paints big women."

"Who paints big women."

"Big women."

Cheeky bloody old git! I'll show him big women! D:<

Ahaha, oh well. I would celebrate my exams being over... but I have work in 10 minutes D: Bye bye~

Thank you! ^__^ The socks one is my favourite too! I worked my butt off so hopefully I'll get a good grade! (Will make up for the bad ones I got in AS Level XD)

Whoa~ They all turned out wonderful~! I love the colorscheme, and especially love the one with the legs... the texture is really wonderful in black and white, but when you add the color, everything just pops!

With the first one though, it does look like you are punching yourself (I'm not sure if that's what you wanted, or if you are simply resting your head on your fist) I kind of think that the way the hand is drawn is fine... I think it's more to do with the texture on the hand. Makes me think that your hand is in the middle of some kind of action...

Other than that, I really like these~! I'm not very good at realism, and my dad has asked me to draw a portrait of him for his birthday... well, we'll see... ^^;;

You're right, the shading is terrible on the first one, it's supposed to be my head resting on my fist/arm but it does look like I'm punching myself XD Another girl in my class commented that I hadn't shaded it right and I needed to do more to make it look more foreshortened, but I ran out of time before I could get around to it ^__^;; Hopefully the other two will redeem that one, thankfully I got the shading right (Well, I like to think so anyways XD) for those two, it's more soft on the skin areas, whereas in the first one it's all scribbled and came out wrong ^__^;;

Thank you for the comment! =3

Oooh~ Ballpoint pen XD
I love scribbling with that stuff. The textures on these are amazing, and the splashes of colour in the monocchrome really do bring the pieces to life. Awesome work :33

I know, I felt like a bit of an idiot for choosing biro as my media for my freakin' A LEVEL art exam seeing as it's always been a "scribbling in the margin" type of thing for me, but I love it so much XD I especially felt like a doofus seeing everyone else using more traditional painty medias, but oh well 8D I need to stick to what I enjoy =3 Thanks for the comment, I like getting comments X3

What I love about these is the vivid nature of the colours. They contrast so effectively against the ink that they almost jump out of the page (particularly the socks, which are stunning, I think that may be my favourite if I had to pick XD )

Good work hon, you should be really proud ^___^

The legs seem to be the one (both here and at school) that people have commented on being their favourite, or being cute, or being the best or whatever X3 When I look at the photo of it above, I think my legs look too short, but it's just the foreshortening making them look short because their bent towards the camera when you took the photo... or that's what I tell myself XD Oddly enough, the socks piece was the one that the man made the "big women" comment about. XD I think he was just making a comment about the composition rather than the subject, but still, it was a bit of a lol ^__^;; Thank you for the comment, I think, maybe, the feeling I have right now might be... being proud of something I've done. ^_____^ <3

It's about time you took a bit of pride in your work ^_~ I actually think your legs look shorter because it looks like you're wearing a skirt XD It's a cute thought!

Tbh, the whole 'big women' comment, plus you, just reminds me of your uncanny likeness to Faye from QC ^___^ Which is aaaaaaa~ll good <3
